Make sure you've finished Friday's assignment (or the HW for the weekend)
Go to realclearpolitics.com.
On the right, you'll see a box that says "SENATE HOUSE GOVERNOR".
Scroll through the Senate races. You can click on each state to get specifics on the race, including a race summary. Pick 5 you will follow during this fall. Make sure they come from at least four regions of the US.
The regions are:
Northeast--all of New England, NY, and NJ (8)
Mid-Atlantic--PA, DE, MD, VA, WVA, NC (6)
Southeast--SC, GA, FL, AL, TN, KY, MS, LA (8)
Old Northwest Territory--OH, IN, IL, MI, WI, MN (6)
Plains: AR, ND, SD, NE, Iowa, MO, KS, OK (8)
The Mountains: MT, CO, UT, WY, ID (5)
The Southwest: TX, AZ, NM, NV (4)
The Pacific: CA, OR, WA, AK, HI (5)
Send me an email stating which races you're going to follow, and what caught your attention about the race: why are you following it? (This can be 1-3 sentences per race).
Finish for HW.

Upcoming 'Stuff'
The Chapter 1 quiz is postponed until Wednesday--make sure you know the terms in purple or black bold-face and the CAPITALIZED terms on pages 12-14 (not all are bold-face).
The quiz will be a mix of multiple choice, matching, and fill-in. The fill-ins will either give you a term and ask you to write the definition (in your own words), or will give the definition and ask you to write the term (I'll probably include a word bank).
On Thursday and Friday, we'll be in one of the labs to continue work on the Congress races. The following week, we'll talk about the constitution of the United States.
