Please write a short essay, one per individual, which

___ is submitted, as a GoogleDocument, and shared with me, by 11 pm on Wednesday, 2 December
___ answers one of the following questions
- How important is your particular chapter topic to current American politics?
- In what ways has 'your topic' changed over the years? What is the most important factor in that change?
- How can politicians/parties manipulate your topic to their benefit? What is the most important thing they do to manipulate it?
- How does the media affect your topic? What is the most important media effect?
- 2-4 double-spaced pages with 12 point 'normal' font
- 1" margins
- Catchy title and your name
- Underlined thesis statement
- Use at least 4 sources other than the textbook
- Each paragraph refers to at least two sources
- Works cited page included at end
Wednesday, 10 November (F Block) and Friday, 12 November (G Block)--Select the question you will answer; find at least two sources. Send an email which indicates the question and includes links to the sources. The email should be sent by the end of the block.
Monday, 15 November--Find two more sources. Write a one-paragraph summary of each source and include it in an email (NOT an attachment). Send it to me by 11 pm on Monday evening.
Monday, 22 November--Submit a rough draft to me by 11 pm in the evening. The rough draft should be at GoogleDocs, shared with me for editing, and should be entitled "Last Name 5-9 RD"
Wednesday, 1 December--Submit a final draft at Google Docs, entitled "Last Name 5-9 Essay"
The presentations will be done on Tuesday, 30 November and Wednesday, 1 December.
